An Ode to Vegas Vacation...{A Classic}

We had to stop and take a Dam photo of course! We were crossing the Dam bridge, and Nicki and I hopped out to run to the Dam bridge to take a Dam picture! I had no idea about a Dam at Lake Powell, so all of the Dam adventures and Dam sight seeing was great! We even took a Dam rendezvous and had lunch by the Dam! {Had to do an Ode to Vegas Vacation!} Hope you enjoyed all of our Dam photos!!

Day by Day..Inch by Inch

Tayli is getting so BIG! She is too much fun and Ryan and I are just having a ball watching her grow and seeing her very BIG and curious personality come out!! Here are some pictures of my beautiful Angel!!

Tayli and her first braid! Had to take a picture!! In the next photo she is not very happy with me cause I was so concerned about getting her picture that I made her stop watching her show...Sorry Baby!! You are just too cute, I have to take a picture!!

HA HA!! Tayli "borrowed" a butterfly net from our neighbor's yard and I was having fun with her and would place it on her head and then pull it off. Well Tayli thought it was the greatest thing and had to have it on while she was reading Daddy's Scout books!! Yep!! Daddy got called in the ward to be a Scout Leader!! We are so proud of Ryan and know that he will be great! He had heard that the boys were more of "inside, video game" type boys so it will be great for him to show them how to fish and hike and all that fun outdoors stuff!

Memorial Day HOORAY!

This Memorial Day Ryan got invited to go to Ogden, Utah with his friend Radley to try Indoor Surfing! It sounded like a lot of fun so we took our baby girl over to Grandma's to have fun with them and then drove down! We had a lot of fun and Ryan and Radley started out rocky, but by the end of the session they were doing really good! Although they both fell a lot!!! But after the surfing we headed to a movie and it was so fun! I felt really bad about leaving Tayli so the next day we made sure to make up for it, and had some of her neighborhood friends come over to jump and play with her. We even went and got ice cream with our friends! She had such a great night, that by bedtime, she was worn out!! Good Night Sweet Angel....Mom and Dad Love you Very Very MUCH!!!

I had to post a picture of Ryan after he crashed cause this water just threw you back and it was pretty fun to watch everyone fall! This particular fall just seemed to good not to post!

{{A Day in May}}

I just wanted to blog about our month of May so far... First to discuss is Mother's Day! Ryan and I had decided not to do big gifts for Mothers/Fathers day this year, and thankfully we did! Seeing as how we got dumped on with unexpected bills.{Including a plumber that was extremely dishonest and quite frankly a sleezeball!! Said plumber gave an estimate of $500.00 and charged us $1700!!!!I don't and probably never will understand how a person can be so extremely dishonest!! So due to attorney fees that we will be facing with that, and Ryan's hospital bill for his surgery, and a leaky roof, all in one month, it was a good thing we didn't do big gifts this year!!} But I guess Ryan thought that meant not to get anything...:) It's okay though! We spent the day together and then went to Tremonton to visit with Ryan's family. It was a good day spent with family!

Just this past weekend we were super busy, and a little tired of driving to Salt Lake!! Ryan had to drive down on Tuesday for a meeting, I drove down Thursday for lunch with the girl's for Natasha's Birthday, Saturday for the Zoo and Ryan's football game, and then Sunday night I drove down with some girl's from work for a Hair Show!! Wow! Lots of driving this past week and weekend. So to start, Friday morning Tayli woke up with a bad fever and was so uncomfortable that Ryan and Tayli just stayed home and worked instead of going to his office. They stopped by work to surprise me and Ryan told me he had got a babysitter for the night and we would be going on a date!!! I just blamed Tayli's fever on teething and figured if she kept up on Tylenol and orajel that she would be okay, so we went out! We got to go to dinner just the two of us and it was so nice and relaxing, after dinner we planned on a movie but had to run home to give our babysitter some notice, and give Tylenol to our baby girl. She had gotten worse and was laying on the ground with her head down and just feeling miserable... but Ryan and I decided to go to the movies anyway. I was feeling so awful about my baby and really needed to be with her so I bailed on my cute hubby to go back and take care of my little girl. Luckily I did because Tayli had gone from bad to worse! She was on FIRE!! Normally my Tayli is too busy to be cuddled and snuggled, but that was all she wanted to do. {I can't help but say that I really enjoyed her being that way cause I never get to cuddle her!} All night she had a rough time sleeping and was just dripping with sweat! When she woke up Saturday she was warm, but not as hot as the previous night. So we decided to continue on with our plans of going to the Hogle Zoo in the beautiful weather! She seemed like she was doing better and her temperature was under control. Ryan also had a football game in Lehi so we were planning on getting lunch with the family and going to the game after. We had a great day at the zoo and Tayli had so much fun running around and being out in the sun. She didn't seem to notice that there were animals there, but she did love watching the Tigers just as much as mom did! The Tigers and Cheetahs were up and playing and pacing their homes and we had so much fun watching them! After the zoo we met up with my family for lunch, and then dropped Ryan off at his game. I took Tayli to my Brother and Sister in laws to take a nap. While Tayli slept, we had fun riding the four wheeler and playing outside. I left to go watch the game and Tayli stayed to play with her cousins. While at the game, my brother called me and informed Tayli had a fever of 102!! I hurried there to go get her and be with her. So she had a rough weekend and thankfully on Monday she started feeling better. She must have been feeling a lot better and was making up for lost time this weekend by getting into everything!! She had to explore every nook and cranny!!

Speaking of Monday, I had another Hair Show come up! Some girls and I from work headed to Salt Lake Sunday night to stay over and sleep in Monday morning. It was a great show and a bunch of other girls from the salon came down Monday morning too! I learned lots and LOVE being in a profession where classes sell out in just a matter of weeks!! How many professions out there have as many classes and as many attendance as mine??? I LOVE what I do and I enjoy going to all of the classes!!! It gives such an empowerment to me to know how much of an impact I personally have in my client's lives! It is such a fun job, and most days with the women I work with, it RARELY feels like a job!!! Here we all are after the show!!

I got a little tired of posting pictures of the not so good food with purees that I was making so I wanted to post a picture so I could show Tayli that her mom can make some good things! These were some delicious Chicken Tacos that I threw together and it was so good!

Also, Tayli had her first PONYTAIL!! It was definitely a picture moment!! She is so adorable, and Ryan and I's complete world!!! She is growing up and we are having so much fun with her!!

Happy Birthday!!!....In May??

Ryan and I had been planning on getting Tayli a Trampoline for her birthday present! We had talked about getting it earlier so that she can use it for all of summer! It arrived at the beginning of May and I BEGGED Ryan to set it up after he arrived home from work, and with the possibility of rain!! But he did it for his daughter!!{He is such a sucker for her!} And I had to keep watch on him cause a few times it was being put up upside down...then the wrong poles were being put it...and the springs had to be done a few times!! But we got it done and Tayli LOVES it!! We go out to jump at least five times a day when its sunny outside! And it is so much more fun when mom and dad jump in as well as all of her friends!! It is so fun having our friends and neighbors over and spending time with each other! And not to mention, it's great to have all the kids in there with the net and jumping so the parents don't have to worry!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TAYLI!!!

Try..Try...and Try Again! .....{And then Move On}

Well I'm at it again... this time with a turkey meatloaf. Ryan loves meatloaf so I thought this would be great to try. But the Turkey meat just freaked Ryan out too much. Tayli loved it though! I thought it was okay, I am just not a meatloaf person. I am getting very frustrated with Miss Jessica Seinfeld....I do the recipes exactly how she says, and mine never turn out like hers!!! I'm about done with this cookbook!!

I am also noticing that I have gained quite a bit of weight...YIKES!! So my goal from now till June 8 is to lose hopefully 20 lbs in time for LAKE POWELL!! That is right! We got invited to go to Lake Powell with some friends and couldn't resist! We both had some sacrifices to make{Family Vacations and Reunions, time off work, ect.} But I am positive it will be well worth it!! Now, lets wish me luck!!!

These are supposed to be Pink Pancakes. I thought it would be a fun idea and that maybe Tayli would like them. But I was mistaken, they were DISGUSTING!!!! YUCK!!! I am not happy with this cookbook anymore!! All you could taste was the beet in the pancake!! Not a winner, and wont be tried again. Cute Idea, but way Icky!!!

Spring has Sprung!

On thursday April 21, 2011 I planted some tomato plants hoping this would work. Four days after I planted them, this is what I got!! I am so excited that I am actually seeing some plants!

This picture is just six days after I planted them! I can't believe how fast they are growing! Now lets hope that actual tomatos will grow and not just leaves!! This new project has got me and Ryan thinking, and we are currently looking into maybe planting a fruit tree and some spice boxes off the side of our back porch! Lets hope this tomato plant goes well so that I can have the courage to try more!!
