Amber &Tayli

This story started as a love story and is ending in a completely different love story. We have lost one member of our family, but Tayli and I are still our own family. We will continue our Journey as mother and daughter, and best friends....

Christmas, Parade, Fair, Boating, and an Anniversary! {In August??}

First up, the FAIR! The fair season has finally come! Ryan, Tayli, and I had so much fun going to the fair and taking Tayli on the rides and playing with the animals! Then two weeks later while Ryan and I were on our Anniversary weekend, Tayli went to the Tremonton fair with Ryan's family and I think the pictures speak for themselves! She had a GREAT time!!

We have been super busy here at the Udy Home! That's right, the Christmas Shopping and crafting has begun! I have started some of my gifts for clients and friends and family and it is such a fun project for me to be doing and getting the ball rolling on the season!

We have also been super busy BOATING! Our FAVORITE past time! Tayli loves the water and being on the boat and with family! This past time we went Mommy and Tayli even went tubing together! I think she thought it was fun, but since we were going so slow I guess it wasn't "thrill seeking" enough!! You got to Love that Girl!!

This was at the Bear River Parade and it was a hot parade!! Even though Tayli was too afraid to go into the street to get the candy {Which is a great thing!} Mom went out and made sure that we made out like bandits!! It was so hot while we were there waiting for Nicole to come by on her float, we had to take Popsicles that were being handed out and put them in Tayli's shirt front and back just to cool her off!

Finally, Ryan and I have made it! Five years Married! {Not without some major bumps in the road}, but none-the-less we made it! We celebrated BIG with reservations at the Hotel Monaco in Salt Lake including a day with shopping and dinner at the Melting Pot! It was such a great weekend and I can't believe it has been five years! Here's to the next five years, may we learn from our mistakes, cherish our blessings, and continue to have Love in our hearts.

{Hard Worker}

A lot of people always ask me where Tayli goes when I go to work, well the answer is, WORK! Tayli goes to work too! With Ryan of course, she spends her days answering phones, posing while working on the computer, shredding documents, working in danger zones where safety glasses are needed, and of course a diet coke break! She is too cute!!

Paint Day

Painting, Painting, and MORE painting!!

We are lucky enough to have family support to help us finish our basement so we started right away and got priming and painting and I think I had more paint on me than on the walls! We got a pretty good start and spent the whole day painting the bathroom and most of the spare room and priming half of another room! We can not wait to have it finished and have a play room and more space!!

New Look, New Feel!

Makeover time! It's been a couple months doing a little here and a little there, but my room is getting a little closer to how I would want it. It started out with Hawaiian brown and green room decor and Ryan's grandpas shiny black dresser and two end tables that had belt buckle knobs, So I first painted the dresser and end tables a matt black and switched up the handles as well as sanded all the edges to give it a country feel. And the wreath above the t.v was red, and the bedspread was read and white with a berry garland wrapped around the top of the bed frame. {There are pictures of what it looked like before in earlier post.} The bed frame was black iron with brown wood post. So I painted the wreath, repainted the dresser and end tables a solid black, painted the post white, switched all the lamps and photo frames to black and white, and in the future I am wanting to switch the color red out and add a nice soft yellow with flowers, curtains and other accessories. It has been a lot of fun to take furniture and bedding that we had when we got married, and switch them up to a more modern feel. It is a great and easy cheap way to vamp up our old furniture until in the future when we can afford a new bed set. But it will be nice to have quality furniture that we can still use in guest bedrooms, or even Tayli's room one day!

Also, the last makeover is of myself! I have lost four pounds, and switched up my hair!! I am loving it, and it is so fun to switch stuff up in the house, and on myself!! Can't wait for future makeovers!!

Miss Bear River Vally

{I apologize for the bad pictures. The camera was on a bad setting.{

Nicole tried out for Miss Bear River Valley and was awarded 2nd Attendant! Congratulations Nicole!! We are so proud of you, and you looked Amazing up there!!

Tayli Loved the pageant and was so into it that Ryan actually had to take her outside cause she couldn't sit still, she was so busy telling us to look at the pretty dresses, and clapping and talking so loud. But she did get to meet Miss Utah, and we can't wait to cheer her on at Miss USA!

Tayli Loved Nicole's trophy so much that she wanted to take it home! She kept smelling the trophy and we tried to get her to smell the beautiful roses Nicole had, but she was too interested in the trophy!

Flaming Gorge Pictures

I just wanted to post some more pictures from Flamiong Gorge that my In Laws took. {Man I want a new camera. Look at these pictures compared to mine, it makes mine look awful!}
