Lake Powell BABY!!!

We received an invitation to an amazing getaway to Lake Powell with some of our good friends the Gladfelders. We were feeling a little tight financially but we decided that we needed to "Make It Happen!" It was a tough decision to leave Tayli with her grandparents but we felt great about the idea that she would be in great hands and would have a fantastic vacation herself! So when the day finally came We could hardly believe that we were on our way to Lake Powell!! After a few bumps in the road, {including pushing our date of departure back a few days, possible money shortage because less couples came than planned, a few hurt feelings, and finally being witnesses to an accident and waiting for the ambulance} We couldn't believe it when we were less than an hour away from our destination!! We had to start celebrating with a dance off in the truck!!

Radley and Tyson got so excited to be in Powell that they stripped down to their tighty whities and jumped in!! It was a great start to a super fun week!! All the couples that went had not met before and it was nice to have everyone immediatly let their gaurd down and just relax and have fun!!

This was my FAVORITE part of the whole trip!! I had a blast riding these and spent hours being selfish and riding them as much as I could! As soon as I would wake up I was looking for someone to come with me on the Jet skiis! Hands down my favorite part of the trip!!{Especially with my new jet skiing buddy Nicki!!}

{{JUMP}} in the water is FINE!!

Anytime you are in Lake Powell one of the activities always seems to be Cliff Jumping! Now I love to cliff jump, but on a smaller scale! While boating through a canyon we spotted a cliff with an actual rope to climb up, so seeing this rope we thought that this must be a safe cliff to jump! {Ha Ha!! Just cause one person jumps must mean everyone has to!}

While in the boat contemplating on who would be jumping, Tyson had already jumped out and was making the swim to the rock, while I was preparing myself mentally, Radley taunted us by saying that none of the girls would dare jump this cliff. That was all I needed to get my life jacket on as well as Ashlee and Nicki! So we jumped out of the boat and headed up the rope climb! Ryan was right behind me, and climbing that rope I kept thinking, "I better not get scared at the top cause I sure as HECK am NOT climbing back down this rock!" Ha Ha! So we finally made it to the top and of course had to take some more pictures before we took our Leap of Faith!! First Tyson, then Ashlee, followed by myself, Nicki 6, and Ryan pulled up the rear! It was such a rush, and Clay said I managed to get out at least three screams before I landed. {The first scream was "I can't believe I jumped." The second scream was,"Wow this is a long way down." And the third scream was," This is going to HURT!!"} It was fun to look back and think, "Wow! I actually did it!!"

WAKE Powell

Everyone had a great time Wake Boarding and Surfing! I even gave surfing a try and did pretty good! I hope I can continue to learn to surf and wake board better this year! I even tried a helmet this year and think that it will be my next investment! I don't care if I look great or not, but it sure was nice that I didn't go home with a headache!!

This would be Tyson! He was super worried and concerned about his friends when they were in the water, so he was the designated "flag man"!

This is such a good photo I took! I think it belongs in a magazine or store or something!!! It looks like a great sunglasses ad! And I must say, the man in the hat is GORGEOUS!!

Nicki 6 looks great!! She was dancing for us and everything!! I guess she thought we were all taking pictures of just her dancing....Oh Nicki!! It was your dancing and your great hairstyle!!

This Poor boat got stuck way up on the sand! You can't see it very well in this picture, but in the bottom left corner there is a boat that must have got beached somehow!! It wasn't there the day before and after we went out boating for the day and heading back, it was gone. I bet it took a lot of money and effort to get that boat off the rocks!! That is a sure way to ruin your Lake Powell trip!!!

This was the last day of our trip and the Coleman's and us were headed home in an hour or so. We went out on the boat while Carl stayed back and we did some surfing and wake boarding and everyone got in to swim! We stopped our boat at Wahwaeh Bay and had lunch and it turned into a swim party from there!! Everyone was jumping in and doing flips and pushing everyone else in! It was a great end to a FANTASTIC week!!!

Poor Bryant got sunburned on the first day on the boat! His wife Alexis sprayed sunscreen on him and I guess they just didn't rub it in! If you look close it looks like someone threw white paint on him!! He was such a trooper and kept coming out on the boat and was having a great time! He was not going to let his sunburn ruin his trip, and he sure didn't! He had a great sense of humor about it, but all the women kept getting worried cause his knees were so burned they were turning purple!! We had to keep putting him in the shade and put towels on his knees!!
