Well it is that time again! FOOTBALL football FoOtBaLl has Begun!! And Ryan's football team had their first game versus The Dixie Rebels. We packed up our car and headed south hoping for sunshine and flowers while Logan was getting another snow storm! Only to find that it snowed the whole way down until we arrived in St. George where we were met with rain. It didn't matter cause it was a warm rain and once we arrived we unpacked and went swimming to show dad Tayli's new moves in the water. She had so much fun swimming and even convinced dad to jump in and swim. Tayli loved climbing out of the pool and jumping into the hot tub where Ryan was and then came back to mom in the pool! It was not so much fun for mom and dad trying to chase her so she wouldn't fall in.
Once we were done with Ice Cream, we went back to the pool to go swimming and we all had a blast!!! Tayli loved swimming twice that day and it was even more fun for her to swim with her buddies Aiden and Aleycs.
The next day we woke up bright and early to a full day of fun activities with our friends the Rosales'!! Our first stop was at the Wildlife Museum where they had animals from all over the world and they had set up small exhibits of each habitat. They handed out black handheld "sticks" where you could hear a recording of information from each exhibit. Tayli loved to hold hers and she was also given some binoculars to strap around her neck. She and Aiden had so much fun looking at all the animals and the adults liked it too! Once we finished the Wildlife Museum we drove over to the Dinosaur Park. We were expecting something different than what we saw and decided that the little kids wouldn't like it so much so we left for lunch. We had a great lunch at the Brick Oven and Tayli still was barely eating. I was getting worried!! We packed up her lunch and sent the boys with the kids back to hotel for a nap, and then the FUN started!! Our hotel was right next to the outlets!! We spent a whole three hours there and had a great relaxing shopping day with me, Krystal, Laura, and baby Aleycs!! We even got some great deals!! I found two shirts that Ryan thought were $70,00 dollars each!! {They must look expensive cause he said they looked like Anthropology shirts} I really spent thirty on them each! So I count that as a GREAT deal!! Another great deal was at the Children's Place. I got Tayli an adorable Easter outfit for $15.00!! Pants with a tutu, a cute pink shirt and a cardigan!! It was so fun to be out with the girls shopping and the sun even came out!! .
After our Shopping Spree, we could tell that the boys were getting anxious for their game so we headed back to our hotels to help with our babies, while the boys prepped for the big game. Ryan was getting "In the Zone" so I got Tayli ready in her game outfit! Thanks to Grandma Laura and mom, she had the cutest outfit there!! And was warm!! Ryan had to arrive early for the game to stretch and warm up with the team so we dropped him off and grabbed our friends and went to the park to take advantage of the sun! It started getting chili so we left for McDonald's to let the kids run around some more and grab some more dinner! {Apparently Tayli was a little backed up and while I was shopping "relieved" herself and regained her appetite} Once we were done playing and eating we headed for the game! The boys did GREAT!! All of them gave everything they had, and after a close game of Stampede 0 Rebels 0 at halftime, Once the third quarter came about it was tied 7-7. But the Rebels were just a bit faster and pulled out another touchdown to make the final score Rebels 14 Stampede 7. They did great and were so proud of themselves, and the Women had a great time chatting with each other and catching up in the stands too!!! We always joke that the football games are like our Relief Society for us!! It was so fun to watch Ryan play football again and Tayli had a great time cheering for daddy!! There were some girls behind us that kept yelling things like "Go Stampede Go!" And Tayli just loved to copy them!! Everyone had a great night!!
On our drive home I had the great Idea to stop at Zion's National Park because we had never been there! Now my idea of these kinds of parks, is just driving through and looking at the view, apparently I am alone in this thought, and everyone likes to camp and hike in there! So we felt a little out of place when the entrance guard asked us how long we were staying. But after paying $25.00 to get in, and driving an HOUR out of our way....We. Were. Going. In. And we were going to love it! We drove through for about an hour and took in the sites and got Tayli out for some pictures. She was very ready for a nap, but doesn't like to sleep in the car. So she was a little grouchy. And I can't blame him, but it started to affect Ryan too. I tried to stay upbeat, but after a few stops with an upset baby and an exhausted husband I had to just give up and head out of the park. {I cant say I wasn't glad.} It was a little rough driving back and realizing we hadn't even gone fifty miles in the direction of home with our rendezvous, but we made the best of it. We even found some Ostriches on the side of the road! We had a great family trip and it was so fun to start off Ryan's season with a weekend getaway!!
